Holes cut in Bonanza wing for speedbrake install

Holes are cut into the top wing skin and doublers are installed.

Speed brake cartridges being installed

Precise Flight speedbrake cartridges installed

The speedbrake cartridges are installed to the area, with added support from the ribs. Then there is a whole lot of wiring to do.

Bonanza panel with new push switch for speed brakes

The wiring ends up as a push switch to deploy or retract the speedbrakes. If they do not deploy symmetrically, you get a momentary light for the one that did go up, then an automatic retraction. Nice safety feature.

They don’t look that imposing, but they do the job quite well.
