    Mike was honored when the American Bonanza Society asked him to become one of their Technical Advisors in the Spring of 2021.  Listen closely the next time you call in a technical question to their hotline, that might be Mike at the other end of the phone!

  • 2020 Calendar and Family Album
    We are pleased to announce that our 2020 Calendar is out!  Thank you to our customers that provided photos to make this possible. 
  • ABS Maintenance Academy held at AVSTAR Aircraft in September/October 2016.
    We were honored when the The American Bonanza Society asked us to host the September/October 2016 Maintenance Academy.  A fun and informative time was had by all.  For the pre-requisites, application and other information about the Academy, please visit The American Bonanza Society website.
  • We are pleased to announce that we are an ElectroAir Authorized Installation Center!
    Mike just returned from a class hosted by ElectroAir covering installation of their Electronic Ignition System which is certified for a multitude of general aviation aircraft.  This class finished the requirements to be an Authorized Service Center for ElectroAir. 
    UPDATE!  We have posted project archives of three installations that Mike has done already.  Check out the installations in a Cessna 182, Beech V35B, and Beech Baron 95-55.
  • Pierce County Is Running Amok!
    What started off as a discussion of authority to install a 24-hour security area at Pierce County Airport/Thun field has turned into more.  Oh, so much more.

  • New product now offered at AVSTAR!   MTN View Aviation of Hubbard, OR, has received FAA-STC approval of their Door Steward for the Beech 33, 35, 36, 55, 56, 58 (unpressurized), and 95 series aircraft.  This unit is a vast improvement over the factory door stop.  We have already installed several of these units, and they work great!  List price for the Beech models listed is $210.00.  ABS and AOPA members get a 5% discount.  We have the Beech kits in stock, so drop a hint to your flying partner for a stocking-stuffer this year.  Mtn View Aviation started this product for the Cessna's, and most single engine models are approved.  Call AVSTAR for a brochure, or view them on-line at www.mtnviewaviation.com.  For the Bonanza installation on 891JH, click here.
